    Position Description

    Our Ad Director team delivers the industry’s most sophisticated search engine marketing (SEM) solution, providing client’s with an automated approach to optimize and manage their paid search advertising efforts. The Webtrends Ad Director team is currently recruiting an Online Account Manager to continue our legacy of delivering superior customer care and performance results to customers.

    As an Online Account Manager you will manage customer relationships and results, acting as their primary point of contact for Webtrends. You will partner closely with client marketing personnel to oversee the results from their paid search advertising campaigns. From establishing Webtrends as a valued business partner, to defining business objectives for each SEM campaign, through campaign execution, and interpretation of online metrics, you will drive the customer’s success and our relationship.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Oversee paid search advertising campaigns on all the major search engines include Google, Yahoo, and MSN, with clients utilizing formal project plans, business acumen and knowledge of the customer’s desired business objectives.

    • Utilize Ad Director’s SEM optimization technology to manage and fine tune paid search campaigns, analyzing, interpreting and communicating campaign performance to each client.

    • Continually manage and improve the partnership with the customer to cultivate long-term business relationships.

    • Work directly with internal teams in product development, engineering, marketing and sales to address client needs and requirements, manage a variety of projects, develop new clients and actively participate as a member of a small, highly cohesive and very interdependent team of e-marketing professionals.

    Interaction:

    • This position works in a team-oriented environment and externally with customers. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.

    Scope:

    • This position is an individual contributor position.

    Required Skills/Attributes/Education:

    • 1+ years in a business to business (B2B) customer support environment with responsibility for managing customer relationships. Those with backgrounds which include marketing, SEO, SEM, paid-search etc. desired.

    • Demonstrable excellence in customer service and customer management skills based on prior work experience.

    • Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

    • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate directly to the CMO-level in person, via presentations, in writing, via proposal, etc.

    • Well versed in internet applications, PC applications etc. A passion for technology and curiosity about web2.0 evolution, applications, etc. highly beneficial.

    • Very high drive to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced, cutting edge market. You must be able to adapt quickly, manage without direction, and independently seek answers and solutions.

    • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business or a related field.

    Working Conditions:

    • This position works in an office environment.

    • This position is located at the company’s San Bruno, CA office.

    • Incumbent must pass background check.
