Analyst Editor (financial district)

Data360, a unique, new collaborative data website, is looking for an intelligent, eager and energetic individual to work as a part-time Analyst Editor.
The right person for this position will be part-analyst and part-editor. The right person should love data, analyzing data and demonstrating clarity through data.
The Analyst Editor will have two main responsibilities:
1. Find, assemble, and comment on the most relevant and interesting data-driven news stories on Data360’s News Review. Also, send a monthly newsletter to our constituents highlighting items from the News Review.
2. Identify opportunities for building automatic data-links between public data websites and Data360. Lay out basic complexity and technical requirements of each opportunity and gain agreement with Data360 management on which opportunities to pursue. Work with data websites and Data360 programmers to create automated data feeds between the public data websites and Data360.
The mission of Data360 is to bring the rigor, discipline and focus of business reporting to the world outside of business. Data360 was created by Webster Systems LLC, an affiliate of Webster Pacific LLC, a strategic and financial consulting firm for entrepreneurs. Webster Pacific’s clients are in a variety of industries, including forest products, charter schools, alternative energy and internet software.
Compensation is a minimum of $15 per hour; expectation is Analyst Editor will work 5-10 hours per week, spread over 3-5 days per week. The Analyst Editor will need to come to Webster Pacific’s office in downtown San Francisco once per week. All other work can be done remotely.
