Job Title: Bartender
Essential Responsibilities:
Mixes ingredients, such a liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and other draught or bottled beer.
Collect money for drinks served.
Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies.
Places bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Presents menu, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
Relays order to kitchen and serves course from kitchen and service bars.
Observes guests to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been completed.
Totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to cashier.
May ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee and perform other services as determined by establishment size and practice.
May clear and reset counters or table at conclusion of each course.
To do this kind of work, you must be able to:
-use arithmetic to total costs and make change.
-talk with different kinds of people to find out what services they want and to give them information.
-stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods .
-move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle things like dishes, money and merchandise.
-lift and carry things like heavy trays.
To do this job, you must have the following amounts of total education and/or experience: High school diploma and two (2) years cocktails or server experience.
Purpose for Restaurant Bus Person Position: To perform a combination of duties in an efficient, quiet and effective manner which facilities food service and thereby provides a positive impression for the guest.
Essential Responsibilities:
Carries dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.
Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware and dishes in dining room.
Supplies service bar with food, such as soups, salads and desserts.
Serves ice water and bread and butter to patrons.
Cleans and polishes glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
May run errands and deliver food orders to offices.
May transfer food and dishes between floors of establishment using elevator.
To do this kind of work, you must be able to:
- carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.
- do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way.
- get along with all kinds of people.
- stand and walk for long periods of time.
- lift and carry things like trays of dishes.
- use hands and fingers skillfully and easily.
***Need an applicant who can work 2 nights (SAT & SUN) in the restaurant bartending. Bartending schedule is from 4pm-11pm.***
***We need an applicant who can work as a Restaurant Bus Person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30am-2:30pm.***
