The Business Analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, Communicate, and validate business requirements and changes to information systems. The role is responsible for understanding and documenting business requirements for specific business problems, translating business requirements into functional specifications, and verifying that solutions meet the requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements: Understands Biotech/Pharmaceuticals Sales and Marketing functions, strategies and drivers within Pharmaceutical industry. Experience working with business partners within Sales and Marketing operations function. Adept at stakeholder Management and perform independently and in team environment with less supervision. Comfortable presenting to senior management
Position Requirements
4 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Commercial Pharmaceutical.
Has a working knowledge of related business area.
Good understanding of UML and BPMN preferred.
Business process knowledge specific to Commercial Pharmaceutical.
Technology knowledge in several applications Pharma commercial organization uses.
Good knowledge of the following areas: Biotech or Pharmaceuticals; Customer Master, cRM, Sales Reporting, Sarbanes‐Oxley Requirements; Data and Application Security; Business Intelligence.
Good Processes and Methodology knowledge in the following areas: ITIL; desirable
SDLC processes to include agile and waterfall development.
Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Good knowledge of established IT industry analysis tools, methods, and best practices.Responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding and documenting business requirements for specific
business problems
Translates business requirements into functional specifications.
Provides input into solution design, architecture, testing, and data management
activities of the project to ensure that solution meets the requirements.
Supports the Application Architect in understanding and assessing the fit and gaps
between solution design and business requirements.
Manages and communicates changes to specifications.
Review test plans and testing results while maintaining traceability of end user
requirements.
Assist end‐users in preparation and execution of User Acceptance testing.
Participate in the analysis and evaluation of COTS software packages.
Participates in validating, testing, and updating project documentation.
Models data flows and business processes.
Ensures successful transition to the support organizations and business users.
Works with Business Partners to assist in business process redesign as needed for
realization of business benefits.
Provides input to buy vs. build decisions.
