We are a leading middle market, privately held wholesaler of women’s footwear located in the East Bay that has been in business for over 25 years. We provide a comfortable work environment with competitive salary and excellent benefits. We are seeking an experienced Credit and Collections Associate with strong customer relationship skills.

Qualifications:
• More than four years prior experience in Credit or Collections is required
• Experience with independent retailers
• Apparel or footwear industry experience is a plus
• Ability to think logically and exercise sound independent judgment
• Strong customer focus and relationship building skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
• Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information and related communications
• Strong organizational skills
• Work well in a team atmosphere

Responsibilities:
• Initiate business relationship calls to customers
• Communicate effectively with customers on orders and account status
• Resolve customer disputes and collection issues
• Document individual customer issues, solutions and expectations
• Communicate effectively with outside sales re customer status and relationship
• Investigate customer inquiries and respond to them in a professional manner
• Follow up on various collection issues, as required
• Maintain customer credit files
• Update various month end reports
