We need a high-energy HR leader who shares our philosophy that finding, developing, and engaging talent requires innovative, out-of-the-box thinking versus traditional reactive methods. In order to find and develop the best talent globally you’ll work closely with all levels in all locations to help set our strategy for building and scaling a remarkable team. You’ll partner to promote the compelling picture of our company DNA across multiple countries and cultures.
You will guide and lead the following programs and initiatives:
Recruiting
• Create and lead the overall global recruiting strategy and approach to the market, establishing our employment brand
• Establish and report on statistics, measures, and goals
• Select and manage the recruiting team
• Ensure that our internal screening and closing approaches are exceedingly effective
• Manage executive search firm endeavors and relationships
• Personally manage a rec. load for management positions as needed
• Manage recruiting operations
Workforce Planning
• Lead the process to identify and document current employee skill-sets
• Lead the process to identify skill gaps and determine “train or hire”
• Make sure the right processes are in place to anticipate growth and skill needs in line with strategy, scale and “company roadmap”
• Track and lead engagement efforts
• Create lightweight career development program
• Consult on organizational design
• Partner with Compensation efforts to develop job ladders and “what good looks like”
for job families and role
Learning & Development
• Determine what learning and development initiatives will have the greatest impact on engagement and the bottom like
• Identify opportunities and methodologies for learning
• Leverage our internal knowledge base for the majority of learning initiatives and document for future use
• Create and provide tools for personal career development
• Research, recommend and implement key external programs for accelerated learning
• Manage new hire on-boarding
• Manage exit interview process and metrics
Performance Management
• Tie performance management closely with L&D, workforce planning and career development to create a holistic approach to improving employee performance for bottom line results
• Develop and manage the program, making improvements when needed
• Develop and provide metrics regarding the program to various stakeholder groups
• Ensure that the program’s aims are being fulfilled
• Provide coaching where requested/needed
• Document learnings from employees who depart based on lack of alignment with culture and/or expectations
Employee Net Promoter System (eNPS)
• Manage and develop our eNPS process
• Report metrics and create measures
• Facilitate the creation of actionable responses to the eNPS
• Develop an overall “Employee Value Proposition” i.e. what makes it personally valuable to work at Lookout
Must Have:
• Ability to scale and grow large teams
• Strong global experience to inform and manage future growth
• Ability to thrive in a startup world — flexibility, creativity, lack of ego
• Success and history of solid relationships in your experience
• 10+ years in Human Resources with an emphasis in recruiting, learning and development, and generalist work in a technical/creative environment. Full lifecycle recruiting experience, including some startup experience
• Emphasis on working with technical staff, understanding of agile software engineering culture, needs, positions and work environment
• Able to understand employee motivations and values, while coaching and consulting to senior leadership and managers to meet people objectives
• Excellent at driving process and strategy, keeping momentum despite obstacles
• Excellent representative of the company – professional, personable, articulate, knowledgeable, intelligent. Engage others with humor, humility and gravitas
• Fluency in web and internal tools with an emphasis on HR metrics and analytics
• A fun and collaborative teammate who pitches in wherever necessaryNice to Have:
• Previous experience in consumer web or mobile company
• Certifications in various L&D Programs
