Educational Assessment Coordinator (UCSF)

  • The Educational Assessment Coordinator tracks and documents the academic development of medical students and communicates the outcome of that development throughout the four plus years of medical school. The incumbent writes letters of recommendation for students as needed and works closely with colleagues, faculty, and deans in drafting 75-90 Medical Student Performance Evaluations each year for students in the graduating class. S/he also takes responsibility for the student assessment processes of approximately 600 students, consisting largely of work with the School of Medicine Screening and Promotions committee and the MD Portfolio, the online student assessment tool. Other duties as assigned.
     

     
    Required Qualifications:
     
    BA/BS with a major in a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
     
    Excellent writing and editing skills
     
    - Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of team projects
     
    - Ability to work independently in providing staff support to faculty committees
     
    - Professional communication skills, including extraordinary discretion and tact
     
    - Outstanding organizational abilities, including a facility for using web-based applications and databases
     

     
    Preferred Qualifications:
     
    - Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Education, or related field.
