Who we seek

We are currently searching for a Shopkeeper (Store Manager) for our well established flagship location .

Ideal candidates are bold individuals, who are creative, independent, outgoing, have excellent customer service skills, and an eye for detail. While being a “hat person” is not a requirement of the job, being open to new ideas about what it means to wear a hat is. A background in high end retail & visual merchandising is not necessary, but highly recommended. This is a high profile Flagship location.

Shopkeeper experience necessary:

-4+ years related retail management
-Leading and motivating a sales team
-A track record of successful retail financial growth performance
- Inventory tracking and maintenance
-Shipping and receiving product
-Retail staff scheduling and payroll tracking and reporting
-Creating & Implementing merchandising and event directives
-Sales team training
-Familiar with POS systems and retail reports

Shopkeeper qualifications include:

-An extremely self-motivated, patient, and responsible personality
-Stellar communication skills
-Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
-The ability to take direction & run with it
-Enthusiasm to provide excellent customer service
-An eye for merchandizing
-Flexible schedule and weekend availability
-PC literate, familiar with Excel

Shopkeeper responsibilities include:

-Learning about, wearing and selling multiple lines of Goorin Bros. hats
-Connecting with our customers to build lasting relationships
-Creating a memorable customer service experience for every customer
-Maintaining dynamic visual merchandising standards
-Motivating and managing sales staff and maintaining a positive, upbeat workplace
-Recruiting and training an engaging sales team
-Managing all operational responsibilities, including stock-keeping, daily/weekly/monthly reporting & paperwork, scheduling & payroll and cash handling
-Planning and executing in-store events (oftentimes after hours)
-Communicating store needs and concerns to District Manager (product, service, staffing, etc)
