Your San Jose OfficeMax in the Plant Shopping Center currently has openings for early morning Logistics Associates and Store Selling Associates positions. All store associates are responsible for positively contributing to the customer shopping experience by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service as well as delivering a great looking store presentation.
Position Responsibilities for Logistics Associates (includes, but not limited to):
- process freight timely and accurately to provide excellent merchandise availability and instocks
- set and deliver great visual presentations according to store operating guidelines
- execute signing, price change, and other key operational processes to ensure profitability
- deliver a clean and well organized store by keeping aisles accurately faced, stocking merchandise on shelves, and maintaining all pricing/informational signage
- seek and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner
- provide outstanding customer service by effectively engaging customers, identifying their needs, and offering the best solution to close a salePosition Responsibilities for Store Selling Associates (includes, but not limited to):
- seek and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner while providing knowledgeable advice about all OfficeMax product offerings
- elicit information from customers to confidently sell in all our areas including ImPress print services, Technology, Furniture, Supplies, and other areas including third party resources
- deliver a clean and well organized store by keeping aisles accurately faced, stocking merchandise on shelves, and maintaining all pricing/informational signagePosition Requirements (includes, but not limited to):
- previous experience in retail/sales/customer service preferred
- ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings
- ability to interact with customers and associates in a professional, positive, and courteous manner
- ability to interact positively with other associates to promote and foster teamwork
- ability to use electronic communication devices during all work hours which include wearing a headset or device in the ear
- ability to work a POS cash register and other equipment including store computers/technology
- ability to lift and/or move 50lbs occasionally, 25lbs regularly, and climb ladders
