Junior Video Editor Job Description

Overview:
The Junior Video Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process of all videos by capturing and organizing raw footage as well as editing training videos.

Responsibilities:
- Capture and organize all video assets (AVCHD card-based shooting) including tagging all footage by talent and subject to allow video team easy access to assets
- Archive and organize all finished projects
- Edit weekly training videos
- Update previously edited videos
- Compress and upload videos to FTP sites

Required Experience:
- Proficiency with Final Cut Studio 3 (Final Cut Pro 7, Compressor), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Adobe Bridge for metatagging assets, Illustrator, etc.)
- Experience with organizing and managing video assets
- Experience Logging and capturing SD card-based AVCHD material to ProRes
- Good Editing chops, with attention to detail. Ability to layout assemble cuts/string-outs; burn time-code windows to provide to producers
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure with flexibility and ease

1. HD Videography shooting skills
2. After Effects chops, motion graphics skills
3. Can draw a Li-ger real sweet
4. Nunchucks
5. Experience with Final Cut Server asset organization and ultimately porting over to another solution (CatDV, etc.)
