We are an investment consulting firm offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Partnership Accountant with an investment background who would like to broaden their horizons in a dual capacity role on our largest and most complex client.
 

 
Accounting requirements include: Partnership accounting experience in private equity, hedge fund or venture capital; calculation of IRR for partnerships; custodian bank reconciliation, accounting and reporting; investment management/performance compensation calculations; retirement plan financial statement review; familiarity with preparation of annual 5500 returns.
 

 
Performance analysis includes: calculating, analyzing and reporting performance, attribution and statistics; reconciliation of manager return; monitoring and reconciling data used within reporting systems; and, ensuring accurate and timely performance measurement and attribution reporting.

Requirements:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math or a related field
 
• Must have 3+ years accounting experience within the financial industry, preferably within an investment management firm or custodial bank
 
• 1 + years experience in performance measurement is preferred (related experience is acceptable – investment accounting and operations, analyst at custodian bank)
 
• Ability to quickly research and resolve data integrity issues
 
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
 
• Outstanding client service skills; personable and superb communication skills
 
• Demonstrated self-sufficiency and extremely well-organized
 
• Strong team member and work ethic
