Pastry Chef (hayes valley)

We are looking for a professional, self-motivated Pastry Chef to be the leader of our pastry department. Passion and creativity are required. Speed and organization are also essential in our busy workplace.
You must be a strong leader, who is a team player helping to train, develop and support our production staff. You must be well-versed in all baking disciplines, including laminated dough, cake decorating, chocolate work and specialty desserts.
You must clearly understand food and labor cost control. Problem solving and communication skills are important qualities of a strong candidate.
Minimum qualifications: 2-years previous kitchen management experience in the food industry; at least 2 professional references; labor and food cost control experience; flexible work schedule; computer skills; basic Spanish.
