JOB TITLE: Program Coordinator
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt, 40 hours work week
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Program Manager
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, some evenings and weekends required
REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry an average of 3 city blocks.
WHO WE ARE: Each One Reach One (EORO) is a national award-winning arts and education program for incarcerated youth in San Mateo, San Francisco and Santa Clara County. EORO diverts these young people from the adult criminal justice system by conducting mentor-based creative arts and educational tutoring programs at juvenile detention facilities, organizing community participation in the juvenile justice system, and promoting collaboration among the systems various components. In 1999, EORO received the New American Community Award from the National Council on Crime and Delinquency for its creative efforts to reduce crime in our community. In 2007, EORO was recognized by The San Francisco Foundation as one of 36, “extraordinary” Bay Area arts organization that transforms lives and strengthens communities.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator/Office Manager handles all administrative responsibilities for EORO’s volunteer recruitment and processing, supports the Program Manager in the planning and coordination of all program activities, and is responsible for general office manager administrative tasks.
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED and PROFESSIONAL person to work in our Program Department. This person reports to, and works closely with the Program Manager and Executive Director. This position has tremendous growth potential for the right candidate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS – At least 1- 3 years experience in and program coordination and administrative support preferably in non-profit organization (youth-serving +). • Strong writing, Computer and Organizational Skills, and the ability to work independently are MANDATORY to be successful in this position!

• Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and events from conception through to completion
• Experience working in a social service environment
• Must be able to work well under pressure, effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to shift priorities, collaborative decision-making style
• Effective problem solving skills, ability to build consensus and foster teamwork
• Demonstrated successful volunteer and program support experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of issues of oppression and commitment to social justice and community empowerment a plus.
• Working knowledge of community resources in Bay Area preferred but not required.
• Excellent Computer skills-Microsoft Office, Power Point, Adobe, Database Maintenance -Sage Fundraising 50 + (will train on Sage for right candidate)
• Successful results from a criminal background check, including fingerprint clearance.
• Must have valid California driver’s license, insurance, and access to a car
• Bilingual in Spanish a Big Plus!

Sampling of job responsibilities:
• Prepare, distribution, collection, tracking and processing of all program details
• Coordination of all administrative functions for all programs
• Purchasing and delivering of all program supplies
• Set-up and breakdown of program events and fundraisers
• Processing and clearance of Volunteer applicants
• Draft Routine Program correspondence as needed
• Coordinate and help facilitate orientation with new volunteers
• Maintain database for all program stats for five programs in three Bay Area Counties, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.
• Program mailing and email announcements as needed
• Processing agency’s main email address, ordering supplies, coordinating office volunteers.
• Placement, maintain and updating of job listings, volunteer opportunities
• Administer and maintain employee policy including, health insurance, workman’s compensation
• Troubleshoot system problems with database, email applications, computer applications, office network
• Reviews, monitors website maintenance and ensures that appropriate updates are completed on a monthly basis for upcoming shows, programs, and play library
• Updates company brochure, playbill, certificates, and press kits as needed.
SALARY: DOE – Benefit package, paid vacation, sick and holiday time, medical, dental, chiropractic, 401k with company match after two years. Low to mid $30K to start; commensurate with skills and experience. Our agency is growing and this position has great growth potential for the right candidate.
