On ROBLOX, players use core building components to create elaborate online games that simulate the real world.We are seeking a smart and ambitious talent to fill a new and unique position at ROBLOX: a graduate with a degree in math, statistics, or engineering who will apply their impressive quantitative skills to solve business problems and scale online marketing programs. This person must possess first-rate quantitative skills and the enthusiasm to leverage those skills in a marketing capacity.
You will take large amounts of performance data from paid search marketing campaigns and develop new tools and processes to analyze the results, and then optimize the campaigns on a day-to-day, week-to-week basis. You will develop direct, hands-on expertise in search engine marketing, but have the opportunity to use your quantitative prowess to redefine the term “data-driven advertising” to scale a customer acquisition channel that is critical to the business. This position reports to the VP of Marketing but will interact with several other members of the ROBLOX staff.
Objective
Create and leverage data-driven processes to cost-efficiently expand and optimize our paid search marketing campaigns, and develop expertise in the management of search engine marketing at global scale.Job Description
· Collaborate with Business Intelligence team to collect the necessary performance data across all paid search marketing campaigns.· Create new reporting models and analysis tools to identify opportunities for growth and/or cost efficiency in those campaigns.
· Develop subject-matter expertise in paid search and the corresponding tools of the trade, and apply them to manage large-scale campaigns for maximum volume and return.
· Build relationships with Google AdWords and Microsoft/Bing AdCenter account teams, and leverage their tools and expertise as needed.
Qualifications
This new Paid Search Analyst position has been created with a specific person in mind:
· Ideal candidate has graduated from a top-tier university with an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Math, Statistics, Information Systems, or Engineering.
· You are a hard core quant, and relish the opportunity to use data to reveal insights and solve difficult business problems.
· You are highly efficient when working autonomously.
· You are highly detail oriented and possess a get-it-done mentality.
· You are prepared to commit yourself to the pace and intensity of a startup.
· You are power user of MS Excel, and like the idea of authoring new algorithms.
· Must be a permanent resident of the United States and eligible for full-time employment without restriction.
