Receptionist/Legal Secretary (danville / san ramon)

  • Small civil litigation firm is seeking a full-time receptionist/legal secretary. Candidate must be motivated, self-sufficient and have a high level of dedication.

    GENERAL DUTIES
    • Answering and managing telephone calls;
    • Creating and maintaining files;
    • Scheduling and coordinating meetings;
    • Maintaining office calendar;
    • Distributing mail and incoming faxes;
    • Ordering and maintaining office supplies;
    • Taking dictation;
    • Typing and formatting pleadings and correspondence;
    • Inputting attorney timesheets into Timeslips; and
    • Occasionally bending and lifting boxes.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree;
    • One year of secretary experience in a legal or corporate environment;
    • Detail oriented;
    • Excellent organization and communication skills;
    • Strong command of the written word (concise grammar and punctuation);
    • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
    • Willing and able to learn quickly;
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; and
    • Ability to type 70+ WPM.
