Recruiting Coordinator (burlingame)

  • Acumen LLC and The SPHERE Institute were established by scholars from Stanford University in 1996 to conduct public policy research on health and social service programs at the national, state, and local levels. We are growing rapidly and are seeking a recruiting coordinator to help us keep up with our staffing needs. This is a fast paced, dynamic and demanding position with many performance based opportunities for advancement.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement hiring strategies to help sustain Acumen/SPHERE’s growth
    • Confer with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills
    • Manage overall candidate recruitment process including: sourcing and tracking candidates, collecting all application materials, evaluating resumes, conducting preliminary candidate screening, coordinating the interview process, and conducting reference checks
    • Keep job posts accurate and up to date
    • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
    • Create and foster relationships with professional organizations to attract and recruit candidates
    • Stay informed of the latest trends in recruiting techniques/practices (e.g. social networking, etc)
    • Represent Acumen/SPHERE at job/career fairs

    Qualifications
    • College degree and/or strong academic record desired
    • Corporate recruiting experience strongly preferred
    • Able to travel as required
    • Meticulous attention to detail a necessity
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.), email, and internet browsers
    • Exceptional organizational skills and judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Must be self-motivated, a quick learner, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to set priorities
    • Enthusiasm for learning
