Senior Network/Systems Engineer – 2K Games (novato)

SUMMARY: In this role you will be responsible for providing technical direction and support for the network and systems infrastructure. This position will be responsible for handling unresolved issues escalated by Tier I/II support. This position will coordinate with other IT groups in the organization to streamline standardization efforts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take lead on various Information Technology infrastructure projects, coordinating with existing IT staff to ensure timely and successful execution.
• Manage network infrastructure, ensuring optimal connectivity between globally connected sites.
• Administer Cisco hardware including Catalysts, ASAs, and Nexus hardware.
• Manage and administer Microsoft products such as: Microsoft SharePoint server, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Exchange server, as well as other server systems.
• Administer the LAMP stack on various hardware platforms.
• Deploy and administer virtual environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Provide on call and upper level escalation support for technical projects and network related infrastructure.
• Work with various hardware and software vendors to procure equipment.
• Administer large scale storage systems utilizing various protocols for data transport.
• Oversee backup architecture and other technologies related to OS and software deployment, and monitoring systems.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
• Possess a thorough and detailed understanding of the Windows and Linux operating systems.
• 7+ years experience with Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange including related technologies and standards like: DHCP, DNS, DFS, LDAP, IPSEC, CIFS, etc.
• Experience and Enterprise project management within a large scale company IT environment, including: Security, Compliance, Network Operations, and LAN/WAN design.
• Knowledge and familiarity with the network layer model including management of vendor specific devices such as Cisco, HP, and Intel.
• Ability to work directly with teams across multiple territories and time zones.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation from the beginning of a project through completion.
• Required to be able to work flexible hours for maintenance window, etc.
• Dedication, teamwork and professionalism.
• The ability to handle high pressure situations.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, MCSE certification, or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of or experience with game development systems is advantageous
