Network Engineer/Technical Services Manager Job Description
 

 
We are actively recruiting for a Sr. Network Engineer/Technical Services Manager for a contract opportunity in the Hayward area. This position will be the Sr. Technical resource with respect to the network architecture and infrastructure. The position will be responsible for documenting the current environment and assessing the network stability and SOPs. The position will create a written deliverable of the assessment and recommendations for enhancement and improvement of the network operations. The environment consists of non-mainstream vendors of switches and routers. The successful candidate MUST be comfortable working with non-Cisco equipment. The environment is currently functional but the client is looking towards both the future and ongoing support needs of the environment. This position is a contract opportunity that has the possibility to become a full time regular employee. This position will also be the Manager of a small IT team (4-6 employees). Must have at least 7 years experience as a network engineer and have managed a small IT team in the past. Network Engineering Certifications STRONGLY preferred.
