Job description (temporary position):

The successful candidate will be an expert in analytical chemistry methods and will be responsible for: (1) analytical chemistry methods development for the quantification of small molecules in fermentation broth, (2) identifying and procuring new analytical technologies in support of new molecule development and testing, (3) methods development for in-process and final product specification assays to meet regulatory requirements and (4) transferring assays to the routine analysis group and manufacturing sites. The ability to collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to lead new areas of investigation is essential.

Core responsibilities:

Method development and validation, assay transfer to Operations Group (trainings).

Qualifications:

· BS or MS in Chemistry or related discipline, 2+ years of industry experience is preferred

· Very strong background in Gas Chromatography: hands on experience in High Throughput method development, data analysis and troubleshooting, is required.

· Knowledge of Chemstation and MSD Chemstation software is mandatory, experience with Chromeleon is a plus

· Time-management and multi-tasking skills are mandatory

· Teamwork, clear communication and ability to handle data are mandatory

· Energetic, highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently and productively in a start-up company environment
