Nolo’s mission is to help consumers and small businesses find answers to their everyday legal and business questions.
Our Web Product Manager will be responsible for working with business, technology, and marketing teams to develop and capture product vision and requirements. Reporting to the GM of the Legal Division and leading a team of analysts, this role will own the product roadmap: identify product and platform features, develop detailed specifications, and oversee their implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and lead product development opportunities; evaluate scope; analyze & segment markets & competition; understand user needs
• Develop clear, buildable product specifications and wireframes
• Work with vendors, onsite and offshore resources
• Ensure projects are implemented according to requirements, and launched according to published schedules
• Resolve project, design, or resource issues before they cause schedule delaysQualifications:
• REQUIRED: Experience in an online environment, launching web products for consumer-facing websites.
• 3-5 years experience in consumer internet/web product management, with a solid background launching and growing internet products/services
• Understanding of development process: development, testing, and deployment as well as work breakdown, dependencies, responsibilities
• Knowledge of web technologies, especially PHP/LAMP, HTML, CSS, Adobe creative suite a plus
• Understanding and experience in UI/UX best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills as team leader and team player with experience managing and training multiple resources
• Proven ability to transform business and design requirements into written product and feature requirements, functional specifications, and detailed use cases that articulate current and future business objectives for new products, or major enhancements to existing products.
• Proven ability to work in an agile, collaborative development environment in which feedback loops between business, product, and engineering are open and constant
