- The Writer & Producer works within the Digital Publishing team to develop and publish stories across eBay Inc.’s primary digital communication channels, including ebayinc.com and the company intranet.
- In addition, this position works closely with the managing editor to schedule and publish content on a daily basis to these channels, as well as through email newsletters.
- The Writer & Producer will drive traffic and engagement through internal social networking tools and by strategically enhancing eBay Inc.’s social media presence in channels such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
- The Writer & Producer will report to the head of Digital Publishing and will be a key part of the Corporate Communications team.
- Assist in publishing content using the content management systems for all channels.
- Develop and edit stories, as needed, for the company intranet and corporate website.
- Serve as a corporate reporter and photographer for key business events and programs.
- Collaborate with employee communications, PR, Events and IT on the development and packaging of content, especially videos, photography and webcasts.
- Edit and proofread, as needed, other corporate communications materials such as press releases, speeches, presentations and messaging documents.
- Provide editorial support to business unit communications teams, as needed.
- Significant background with web content management systems and tools, experience with Sharepoint strongly preferred
- Experience with content creation and online publishing tools, including Photoshop and intermediate HTML
- Demonstrated skills in social media publishing and online community building, including Twitter and Facebook
- Creative thinker and story-teller with an eye for visual elements
- Must be a motivated self-starter who requires little supervision
- Bachelors Degree Required
