    We are seeking a Youth and Family Director for our Irvin Deutscher Family YMCA in Pleasant Hill, CA.

    For more than 50 years, the Irvin Deutscher Family YMCA has been serving the Mt. Diablo region through inspiring programs and supportive relationships. The Y is a neighborhood leader in providing programs that improve our communities’ health & wellbeing. With an approach centered on balance, the Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. Our youth programs provide a nurturing environment for children and offer positive, fun activities that build athletic, social and interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities for this position:
    Responsible for oversight and management of all Camp, Adventure Guides, Childwatch and Teen Center activities.
    Employ, train, evaluate and supervise all staff and volunteers for designated program areas.
    Develop and adhere to budgets for all designated program areas.
    Maintain accurate records for all income and expenses for each designated program areas.
    Review all current programs and make recommendations for improvements to the Senior Program Director.
    Develop new programs meeting the needs of the Irvin Deutscher Family YMCA community.
    Conduct 2 yearly evaluations of all designated program areas.
    Coordinate all program information and registration procedures with the program desk.
    Develop and update all designated program information on a seasonal basis (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring).
    Responsible for the set up of all promotional activities for designated program areas both in house, through public and private schools and other means.
    Assist with the coordination of all Branch wide special events.
    Responsible to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all facility and equipment related to youth and teen programs.
    Develop other fundraising activities necessary to support specific programs.
    Respond to all suggestion forms concerning designated program areas.
    Participate in any Branch wide promotional efforts.

    Attend one (1) CDP training through the YMCA of the USA, and any other trainings beneficial to your professional development.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    High school Diploma or GED (General Education Degree); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Compensation:
    Full-time position, $36,000 – $38,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
